Well the California leg of our trip was now done and dusted, it was now time to make tracks for Las Vegas for the feature part of our trip – WrestleMania weekend!
First things first, we had to get up at around 6:30am so we’d have time to get to the airport. Our flight wasn’t until 10:40am, but we still had a 50-minute drive to the airport and we’ve learnt not to trust San Francisco bay area traffic.
We slurped down our final breakfast, packed our bags and were on the road for the final time with our little car. All in all, it took just under an hour to get to the airport and returning our car was an absolute breeze.

Getting through customs was tedious with some long queues, as well as the fact Adam’s luggage got flashed as suspicious not once, but twice. It was all good, turns out it was just the Kindle causing some problems.
By the time we got through the time was about 9am so we had some time to kill now, especially given our flight had been delayed a half hour. So we spent time catching up on some blog, as well as emails and other little jobs.

The flight was on a fairly old aircraft, I think this thing had been in the skies for a long, loooong time. Our flight was fairly bumpy with a chunk of turbulence, but it only took about an hour and a half or so. We even snuck in a game of Sea Salt & Paper, which Linnie won convincingly.
Once we landed we signed up to Lyft for a special bonus offer, which is a poor mans Uber by the looks. We got to the LINQ hotel at about 1pm or so and given check in wasn’t until 3:30pm we had plenty of time to kill.

So we lugged our bags to the Bellagio and watched the sprinkler show, and got ourselves a delicious little hotdog at a spot just across from our hotel. To our surprise, they actually had vegetarian options.
After we checked in we had a bit of a chill out in our room, then later in the afternoon we went for an explore.

We checked out our old favourites from past trips to Vegas such as Caesars Palace, Wynn and the boulevard. But by now we were getting fairly peckish so we started looking around for some food.
Trying to find vegetarian food on this trip had been the bane of our existence so far, but that was nothing compared to Las Vegas as we found out. It’s like those options don’t exist and we honestly spent over two hours wondering around trying to find somewhere.

In the end, we ended up in a pizza shop that happened to be next door to the hotdog place we ate at earlier today. This pizza was actually delicious and they even had an “apple pie pie” which was basically an apple pie but with pizza dough. Damn it was good. We planned to head back there again before the end of the trip.
To finish the night we watched an episode of Black Mirror, the one with Paul Giamatti in it, then went to sleep. Tomorrow the wrestling part of our trip officially begins!
