It was up and at em’ this morning, and it’s time to move on from big city life and onto Sacramento!
The car all packed, we made our way over the Oakland Crossing Bridge, which was like a grey, double-decker version of the Golden Gate. The first stop along the way was the town of Berkeley and it’s impressive and stately college.
The town itself was a pretty cool college town and our walk through the campus was like stepping into a movie set; it was pristine, massive and had every stadium, court and amenity you could imagine.

Next on our trip was the picturesque Napa and its many fields of grape vines. Downtown Napa was a step above what we were used to in the city with beautiful wine tasting restaurants, up market boutiques, a delish chocolate shop where Adam got a giant rocky road icecream and a café that sells Poke Bowls! Finally!
So of course we went inside and even though we had to fork out $32 per bowl after the conversion (stupid shit Aussie dollar), it was worth it to chow down onto something nutritious and delicious again.
Moving along we made our way to the Napa outlets, which turned out to be pretty small, so we decided to make tracks to a bigger Premium Outlets about half an hour away where Adam scored some Vans.

Only an hour away from Sacramento now, we ducked into our very first Walmart to stock up on some breakfast supplies for the week.
We were now sure that Americans don’t care much about Easter like we do back home, as the only easter eggs we could find was a Lindt bunny – nothing like the rows and rows of easter eggs at our supermarkets.
After a bit of heavy traffic we finally parked up in front of our new house on a beautiful tree lined street. The house was pretty much brand new, super modern with a gourmet kitchen, a living space and a boho chic bedroom upstairs with a very luxe bathroom all for us.
As soon as we arrived it was time to head back out again .
Sacramento Kings vs LA Clippers
It was now time for another NBA game. This would be the second time we have seen the LA Clippers play after we saw them on our first night, but it’s our first ever visit to the Golden 1 Center.

There was a bit on the line here as the LA Clippers needed a win with a logjam of teams positioned 3rd down to 8th. Sacramento needed a win to get a home Play In game, so the scene was set.
This stadium was pretty cool. It only opened about 9yrs ago and it was pretty state of the art. Our seats were up in the top in section Row 215 Row K, but it was still a good view from up here.
The first half was fairly even with the Kings taking a 1pt lead into half time, but the Clippers started to build a buffer throughout the second half.

In fact, the Clippers had built a double digit lead with under 5-minutes to play on the back of a James Harden and Kawhi Leonard masterclass. Harden even scored himself a triple double which was great to see.
But the Kings came storming back late in the game to make it very interesting. With 3-seconds left, the Clippers led 101-100 and Sacramento were shooting for the win. Our second consecutive game with a game decided on the buzzer!

DeMar DeRozan would take the final shot, but just miss and the Kings would fall short by 1pt. This was also the game DeRozan would move into the top 25 all time for points scored, so at least we got to see some history.
After the game we headed back to our room and continued Black Mirror.
