Today was our first day on the trip with absolutely no plans or events, so we took the opportunity to just chill in this massive bedroom for most of the morning and catchup on some things.
We planned ourselves a little walking trip with the help of AI and then set off about midday. Sacramento was a new city to us so we didn’t really know what to expect, but one thing for sure, it’s a lot greener than San Francisco was with trees and plants everywhere.

First stop on the agenda was the California State Capitol Park where the which is like a big building in a garden surrounded with monuments and memorials. They had the most beautiful smelling orange trees there too.
After that we decided to head to Old Sacramento which is the oldest section of town, as the name hints at. Now this was a very cool area and certainly not what we expected.

It literally is old, kind of like walking the streets of Sovereign Hill. They have kept it as an old western town kind of vibe with wooden floors and old shop fronts. There were lots of people around due to it being a Saturday so we thought we’d go get some lunch before exploring.
Looking for a lunch venue proved harder than anticipated. All we wanted was a sandwich of some description, but finding a little take away shop that served one wasn’t that easy.
Our search took us through the Downtown district and a quick pitstop in the Sacramento Kings team shop, before continuing on to the midtown area. We ended up at some vegan friendly bar in some random spot that did fried rice, so we thought that’d do.

Next we stopped in at a Target and got some snacks then made our way further through midtown looking for the Retro Games shop that looked amazing on the maps.
Turns out the Retro Games shop was not amazing. In fact, it smelt like human shit so we didn’t last long in there unfortunately. Next we ended up near Sutter’s Fort Historic Park, but decided not to go in and take the 55-minute walk back home as we were pretty tired now.
Once we got back to the room we chilled out again for a couple of hours, then headed back out for tea around 7pm or so to the Yard House.

Yard House pride themselves on offering 100+ beers on tap and it’s like a big sports bar. We ordered a couple of burgers and Adam ordered a chocolate stout, but they ended up bringing a Guineas.
A huge big bar with 100+ beers and Adam accidentally ends up with a Guineas. Pretty unlucky! After tea we ended up going back to the room and catching up on WWE Smackdown. We were now up to date and ready for Raw on Monday!
